**You walk inside the shadowy halls of this fortress, made of cold stone pillars all over, and a roof that sometimes may even welcome you with shy clusters of the Sun's or the Moon's light. As you explore the hall, you come across a slender figure, that blends into shadows as you approach and runs away with celerity and grace.

When stepping where this presence was, you notice some glowing carved words on this particular stone pillar.**

"Long battles were fought since the day he joined the Whispers....and long fights took turn before that...through his entire life as a jungle troll...blood and sacrifice were his goals...

But when he found a purpose...when his eyes were no more blind...the Warchief smiled upon him..as a new trail was found...one filled with respect....honor...glory.

To live and learn about the Soul....to watch the greatness of Life and Death...to guide those who needed light...and to fight the overgrowing shadows...

A keeper of Balance...and a Spiritual guide...He then understood that the path of preserving the lifestream of this world was his to trace. His allegiance shall never die with his body.

In the long webs of eternity, those who look towards the shadows of Ysera...will find his essence...guarding her untill time ends...forever standing.

To all present on this family...know that in the soul of Ali'Duz, every being will live, warm and dear to his thoughts...and that in the next world...the spirits will know of bravery and value...of each of you...

Never forget...your Roles...for the Ancestors will watch over all...forever in the memories of all the battlefields we shared victories.

So sayeth the Wise Ali'Duz.

**As you continue to step foward in the most dark reaches of this wide place, you notice some carvings glowing in the same faint violet light, just on some of the many pillars these Halls holds. You also note the the letters are not the same as the last ones you've read. Perhaps a second being wrote here**

"You have Three days to arrive in Orgrimmar" read the young Sin' Dorei. It was a simple letter he had received only recently after he began his training with the Blood Knights in Silver Moon. He kept the letter rolled in his hands nearly the entire long journey to the Orcs homeland, almost as if it helped drive him. If he gave anything else too much thought, if he moved beyond the moment he received the letter, he might put too much thought into matters and turn around.

"You have Three days to arrive in Orgrimmar" he read aloud again,
almost mumbling to himself his face buried in the words of a letter
hardly even a sentence. He moved quickly through the entrance of
Orgrimmar, barely paying any of the Grunts notice at all, until he
walked right into a smaller Orc in front of him.

The Elf seemed embarrased, trying both to gather himself and apologize at the same time. The Orc only smiled and said "You made it." He then grabbed the young Elf's arm and hurried him to Thrall's Chambers. The Orc instructed him to have a seat and sat him down next to a Troll covered in markings and things this young Sin'Dorei had only read about in scrolls years ago.

The Troll extended a hand, "Reechanii," he said, expecting a similar greeting. The Elf merely looked at him, and then back to the wall in front of him, not looking to make any friends with these barbarians. Before Reechanii had a chance to say anything else two of Thrall's own guards came into the front and waved the Elf into their chambers.

He stood and walked in, standing before Thrall. Another Sin'Dorei, and a sister in the order of Blood Knights was near him, an ambassador to Thrall from Silvermoon, and shot a glare at our friendly young Elf and whispered a shout "Rendil, kneel!" in her commanding tone.

The Elf, who appears to be named Rendil, merely looked back at her, then Thrall, and said "I bow to those who lead my people, and no one else. My city does not receive respect or aid from the Horde against the Scourge on our walls, and the Horde will receive neither from me."He paused for a moment, almost gathering courage to go on, and continued "I have received your letter, and wish to know why it was sent."

Thrall stared Rendil down for a few moments before letting out a bellowing laugh that filled his chambers, quickly added to by the others in the room. He then explained, "The Horde does not mean the Orcs young Rendil, the Forsaken aid you in your homeland, and many of our best efforts are put into helping Kael'Thas, your prince, find another source for your magical needs. I see you brought your temper and that is very good, I will be having need for it." With that Thrall waved everyone out of the room besides Rendil, and a Forsaken that was standing almost invisibly next to the War chief this entire time. Together they explained much to Rendil, and they told him of the order that he was to lead. It would be a small order made of many of the younger heroes through out the land. This was to remain even more unnoticed as they had not made a name for themselves yet and therefore would not turn any heads. This order was to be created by Thrall to act out the commands he would not wish others knowing he ordered.

They lastly explained that he was to not report to Thrall directly, but instead to the Forsaken whom Rendil had already known quite well, and also Rendil would not be running this order on his own. They explained they had already briefed a Troll on these matters and he was waiting for him in the Entrance Chambers, to show him respect and work out a plausible means of making this order a success.

Rendil was excused and walked out to meet his new partner. The same Troll who had been there before once again extended his hand and spoke "Reechanii," with a smile, almost mockingly. Rendil looked at him, shook his head, and started his journey to Ratchet where they would begin their plans

**Another dark marble pillar stands next to the last readings, with some other writtings**

The Whispers have been around longer than most of you know, and the workings of an organization such as this remain secret in some aspects even to some of its highest ranking members. The tale is long to where we stand today and it deserves to be told within these walls so that our newer recruits may know what we have sacrificed to still be standing after all this time.

Out of the initial recruits Reechanii and Rendil first permitted the honor of wearing the tabard of their organization, three stood out. These were the Sin'Dorei Rogue Aenarion, the Troll warrior Ahzu, and lastly the Shaman Ali'duz. The three were promoted to a new rank within the Whispers titled the Council and would aid Rendil and Reechanii in the every day tasks neccessary to run an order.

Times would not remain easy however, as would become a constant theme within the world of the Whispers. A group of members led by the Tauren Muka decided they could do a better job leading the organization and started a small but significant rebellion. Wounding key members of the group such as the newer council member Capulette, the Sin'Dorei ranger, and publically humiliating the other ranking members of the order, it would take the combined efforts of Aenarion, Rendil, Reechanii, and Ali'Duz to put Muka in his place...and silent him permanently.

Trouble would not be gone long however as one of the most key members of the organization, Aenarion Brightstar, would reveal himself as a High Elf and a spy within the organization. Apparently coercing his role the entire time to protect another member of the Whispers, and his sister, Eviy Brightsar. Regardless however, he knew entirely too much information to let such treachery slide.

The story of how these events were dealt with wiill be told another time. For now, reflect on those before you and realize this organziation did not start with you, and certainly will not end with you.

**Following this flow of written pillars, the next one also is made by another being, a third one**

Much time has passed since the creation of the Whispers organization and thus much has changed within the world in which we fight. The Outlands are all but won and only minor rebellious factions still claim land within the area.

A much more powerful threat has made himself known in the frozen lands of Northrend and the fallen prince Arthas, the Lich King, has started a war the likes we have never seen. The Whispers were tasked early on in this battle to scout the lands of Northrend and find a suitable landing point for the Horde's warships. This mission would prove to not only the Whispers, but all of the Horde, just how powerful the Lich King's armies would be.

Six members would go on this mission, six of the strongest whispers. While finding what they felt was a suitable point on the coast to plan a massive landing was not difficult, the small group of scourge holding the area would prove a much greater resistance than was first expected. These were not the same scourge that fell upon the walls of Silvermoon. They seemed to be fighting with a new found power that was unlike any enemy the six had ever encountered.

Rendil, Reechanii, Eviy, Logun, Luthelos, and Gustaph began plans to deal with the force here themselves and be able to go home with words of true victory. Luthelos devised that the warrior Lek'tomashi, later to be found one of the first Death Knights, was leading the force in the area.

The group went forward to meet this dark knight in battle, but met much resistance along their planned route. As said before, even the small groups of scourge put up an incredible fight and although losing no members, the six were greatly weakened by the time they were within range of Lek'tomashi's holding.

Rendil's shoulder armor had been all but blown apart and despite Eviy's best attempts new blood still flowed down his arm. Eviy, who had seen few battles before this point was becoming clearly shaken a bit more with each encounter and it seemed her words of prayer were not being heard as well within the Lich King's lands.

Not letting their wounds and near broken spirits slow them down the group reached the hut that was home to the death knight and rushed in the entrance. Inside however there was no one to be seen. The sounds of their earlier battles must have alerted Lek'tomashi and as Rendil turned to exit the hut and reconsider his planning the group watched as he was literally ripped through the air away from the hut.

The five remaining members rushed outside to see Le'tomashi standing taller than any Troll they had before encountered. Beneath him on the ground was Rendil trying desperatly to crawl towards his sword. As he turned on his stomach to try and reach further Eviy let out a gasp as she saw the death knight's axe mark along Rendil's back. Luthelos and Reechanii showed no hesitation as they lept into action.

However Luthelos' normal words of cantation and hexxings seemed to have little effect on the Troll Death Knight so he decided a new route was in order and began demanding the assistance from one of his demon's which he began to summon from the nether.

Reechanii's humble posture and lumbering size as always proved to be merely hiding his incredible speed as he rushed the knight both axes drawn. Dispatching of two scourge skeletons in his path he was quickly caught between a larger group and was delayed in battle.

Logun and Eviy also were having their own problems with another group of scourge under command of the death knight and despite the overwhelming numbers Logun was able to work his way through them with the aid of Eviy's prayers.

Rendil gave only a quick look towards his group before realizing he would see little aid any time soon. With one last stretch to try and grab his sword he saw the shadow of Lek'tomashi's raised axe and looked up and braced himself for the end. As the muscles of the death knight began to clench which would send the axe down for a final time towards Rendil, the death knight instead let out a sound of pain and stumbled forward over Rendil and fell to the ground. On the death knight's back Rendil saw the last person he expected rescue from...Gustaph.

With the death knight on the ground Gustaph lept off and kicked the sword on the ground within reach of Rendil. "A little help would be nice boss," and with that Gustaph once again lept into combat with the death knight.

Rendil used all his strength to stand and rushed in with the Forsaken. On the other side Reechanii and Logun had reached the fight and Luthelos and Eviy were within range of the group to aid as well.

The battle for the first time now seemed in their favor. That is until a group of scourge reinforcements came over the hill with three scourge cannons. Rendil's part of the story would end here as with the first wave of fire he would be flung quite a distance and the rest of his team would be caught in battle and not able to rescue him.

The death knight met his end due to a combined effort from the five however more and more reinforcements started to show themselves coming down the side of a distant hill. Reechanii had to make a difficult decision and ordered a full retreat back to their boat and left Rendil for dead in the frozen waste that is Northrend.

Eviy had to be literally subdued by Logun and Reechanii and dragged to their boat as the five sailed home with less words of victory than they would have liked.

**Another pillar have the same more writtings on it, but made probably by a fourth one**

The Whispers of the Horde.
This is who we are.
This is who we always were, and who we always will be.

The Whispers were formed by myself and Rendil, a Blood Knight judged to be of substantial potential.
It was our honor to create this order at the personal behest of our Warchief, Thrall.

The
Warchief desired an order that could operate outside of the Horde's
military, a force beyond even the Shattered Hand. We would not be the
Horde's servants. We would be commanded by the Warchief himself. In
serving Thrall, we served the Horde. In realizing Thrall's goals, the
Horde would grow. The Horde would triumph.

We would be a hidden
force. To strike with precision, to remove the disease and thus solve
the symptom. With these tactics, we spared life. The Horde could rest
with our organization watching the shadows.

Our Warchief desires
peace. He believes that the Alliance is not our true enemy, that they
are merely misguided. He believes that peace is attainable. He would
sacrifice much for such a peace.
Whether a Whisper agrees with this notion or not, he must carry out Thrall's will.

The
Warchief was no fool. He knew that factions within the Alliance, third
parties, and even the Horde, would wish for nothing more than the utter
destruction of the possibility of peace. We would root out these
splinters, bringing them to light... and destroy them.

Thrall
believed that in the Outlands, in the broken world of Draenor, there was
a means for peace. A shared enemy, and shared goals. The Horde and the
Alliance stood side-by-side at the Dark Portal, defending against hordes
of the Burning Legion. Many brave warriors died, but their deaths were
not to be in vain.
Before the Portal, the only means of diplomacy
between the Horde and the Alliance were secret meetings. Some of the
Alliance leadership shared the same goals as Thrall. They desired peace.

The
Portal and the lands beyond were a significant stepping stone on the
path to peace. Shared battle plans against the Burning Legion required
talk, and talk broached stories. With stories comes understanding.
Respect. Peace could be seen, distantly, on the horizon.

But it was not to be.

Northrend
called. The Lich King, Arthas, became a new threat. The Horde and the
Alliance answered the call to battle and began an assault upon the lands
of the Frozen Prince.
The son of Hellscream, Garrosh, was sent to
lead the Horde Expeditionary Force. Hotheaded and brash, Thrall wisely
sent Saurfang, his old friend and confidant, to guide and counsel
Garrosh. Despite his influence, Saurfang could not temper the angry
hero's vehemence.

Eventually, the forces of the Horde and
Alliance came to the Wrathgate, the entrance into Arthas' own land of
Icecrown, his seat of power. Again, an enemy was to be shared. Again,
the Horde and the Alliance had cause to speak. Saurfang sent his son,
Saurfang the Younger, to command the Wrathgate forces. The Younger had
inherited his father's temperance, and Saurfang had hoped his son would
gain fame of his own, to combat the growing dark, reckless influence
that Garrosh had garnered in the Expeditionary Force.

The battle at the Wrathgate intensified. The siege had begun to force its way through the gates.
But then... Arthas.

Battling side-by-side, Saurfang the Younger and Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, a great hero of the Alliance, confronted Arthas.
Saurfang the Younger was struck down. His soul absorbed into the wicked blade, Frostmourne.

What came next... was unthinkable.
Betrayal from within.

The
Royal Apothecary Society, a faction within the Forsaken and led by the
Grand Apothecary, Putress, assaulted the battlefield with their
perfected Blight. Under this onslaught, nothing survived. Nothing but
the Lich King.

The forces of the Alliance still in their outpost
witnessed this betrayal. They saw an attack on their people by the
Forsaken. They saw the death of their hero, their Highlord, at the hands
of the Forsaken... members of the Horde. This news was brought to the
human King, Wrynn.

War was declared. The chance for peace, shattered.
The traitors were brought to justice, but this would not sway Wrynn's declaration.

The Whispers had failed in their task. To root out the enemies of peace was their goal. A goal failed.

Now,
we must pay for that failure. Where once we struck from the shadows,
now we must take to the battlefield. War is upon us, and war... war
never changes.

Now, as the price of our failure... we must change.

We must become War.
We must become Pestilence.
We must become Famine.
We must become Death.

Our inaction, our inability to see the enemy within our ranks... this cannot be forgiven. It will not be forgotten.

But we are the Whispers of the Horde.
It is who we are.
It is who we always were, and who we will always be.

**Another of the many pillars seen in this place is written in harsh words by a fifth being**

Long has there been wars and long our people have fought. You can change the sides, you can change the weaponry, but the warrior will always remain. Cries will be heard from the front lines as heroes are born and fate's unlucky fall. Shouts will be heard from commanders rallying their troops for battle. Yes my friend, cries and shouts will forever be heard as long as there is war, but then I ask you...

What of the Whispers?

What of the network of those who call the shadows home, learning and sharing secrets that are responsible for the rise and fall of empires. What of the quiet rush of air behind a well hidden and well timed blade that ends the life of a critical figure of the enemy. Yes, you will hear the shouts. You will hear the cries. But you will never hear the whispers...and it is our job to make sure that remains true.
